Hell Money is still very much in use here in lovely Taiwan. Why are there so many different bills & motives, you might ask? Well, "Hell Money" (冥紙) is actually only one out of countless supernatural currencies. Maybe I should write a book/blog just about this topic? The "Encyclopedia of Supernatural Currencies". (The missus might a bit uncomfortable with such a project, however...)

Don't Force Yourself Recklessly...
"When you hear the door closing signal - please don't force yourself recklessly into the Metro train!"
Adventure Time @Kaohsiung American School
I admit to being a great fan of the lovely Kaohsiung Anerican School - even though the school fees for my son nearly bankrupted us. (And now, KAS even requires an additional "capital fee" AND has increased tuition fees by 25%.) No wonder only rich Taiwanese, but hardly any local American Anerican family sends their children to this place...
Yes, yes, I know, the European/German school in Taipei is even more ridiculous in this respect.
By the way: Here is the current KAS Yearbook. Adventure Time-inspired. Live it, but I'm not sure if the editors were aware of the rather dark and gloomy backstory of the cartoon show...?

Hidden Temple (1): Temple of the Celebration of Prosperity / Temple of the Good Dragon
To celebrate the start of this blog, I've visited / explored a semi-hidden neighborhood temple in Kaohsiung's Zuoying district:
The Temple of the Celebration of Prosperity that also acts as
Temple of the Good Dragon.
The temple is actually on the 2nd floor and one has to climb a flight of stairs to reach this holy place.
